In March 2023, Angela unexpectedly passed away, and as a Club we mourn her passing and share that grief with her family and friends.
In 1999, Angela had joined our Club and on completion of her Bronze Medallion in 2004 became a patrolling member with Patrol 7.
In 2006, Angela was awarded her Silver Medallion in Aquatic and Beach Management along with the Certificate in Advanced Resuscitation and after that was appointed to Patrol Captain. Angela in the past 19 years had completed over 650 hours of patrolling service.
Angela also held positions on the MSLSC Committee and shared her experience and advice for the betterment of the Club. More recently, Angela was recognised and awarded the 15 Years National Service Medal for volunteering in surf life saving.
Angela’s involvement at the Club is well documented and fondly remembered for being a champion in surf life saving and a proud valued member.
Angela’s Family spread her ashes in the surf at Merewether Beach and now forever on patrol.
