On Friday 22 April 2022, The Federal Member for Newcastle, Ms Sharon Claydon awarded Club President & Life Member, Mr Nick Newton with the Community Service Award recognising his dedication and commitment to surf life saving.
Mr Newton is a stalwart member of our Club and his committment to MSLSC and surf life saving has been above and beyond in his acheivements and gaols.
Nick also heads a committee that also share common traits with him that revolves around committment to surf life saving and to the Club as a whole.
