On Saturday 29/09/2018, patrol season for 2018-2019 was officially launched at Nobbys Beach.
All SLS Clubs in the Hunter attended and paraded their Club Flags.
Hunter Surf Life Saving celebrate 100 years of patrolling our beaches along the Hunter/Port Stephens coastlines.
It was a moving event that acknowledged our gallant life savers who were most returned servicemen from Word War 1 and lived in the Hunter. Many existing members who were conscripted into WW1 never returned. Lest We Forget.
We honour our members over the past 100 years and we continue on with our duties for now and the future.
Club President Nick Newton made comment to the members representing MSLSC, ” that we as a Club are proud of our history and our deep rich culture in surf life saving”.
Thank you to our Club Captain Kevin Buckley – IRB Captain Nathan Wright and IRB Crew member Ralph Foster – Chief Training Officer Anthony Tietze and Surf Life Savers Kathy Spong and Sarah Gray who attended the ceremony and represented MSLSC.
